Stitch Fix Review # 2 19

Well, it looks like we are one week closer to Christmas! How’s that Christmas shopping coming for everyone?

I received an early Christmas present on Friday afternoon. I actually left work early because I was feeling sick, but seeing my Stitch Fix package definitely helped me feel a little better. I wasn’t able to try everything on until Saturday night, and I still think I look a little sickish in the photos – sorry about that!

Since my first Stitch Fix (Haven’t heard of Stitch Fix? Check out my first review for a summary.) was such a success, I had super high hopes for this box.

Stitch Fix 2

I specifically requested warm scarves and sweaters since I’ll be going to NYC right before Christmas.

Overall, I feel like this box didn’t quite live up to that request. I’ll let you be the judge…

1. 41Hawthorn Elisa Chunky Multi Stripe Infinity Scarf

I didn’t even try this on. I’m not a burnt orange person. At all.

2. Zouk Dermie 3/4 Sleeve Crochet Knit Shirt

I did really like this top. It has a nice lace-y look to it. I think it will be very easy to dress up or down depending on the occasion.

3. THML Anthony Heart Print Sweater

Doesn’t this sweater seem a little Taylor Swifty? It was really comfortable, and I was tempted to keep it for that reason alone. However, the $78.00 price tag was not at all justified. I’m pretty sure I can find something like this at Target.

4. 41Hawthorn Coloma Wool Belted Drape Coat

I really liked the cut of this coat. It was figure flattering and unique. I just could not get over the wool! It was so itchy and scratchy. It was torture even keeping it on long enough for a picture.

Anyone catch Oliver photo bombing?

5. 41Hawthorn Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan

It’s hard to tell with the lighting, but this was actually a really deep purple. I love me some lightweight cardigans! I desperately wanted to keep this, but it was just too short in the arms for me. I have unnaturally long limbs, so I have always struggled with long sleeve shirts being long enough on me.

All in all, I think this fix was a bit of a toss-up. I did end up keeping the Zouk Dermie 3/4 Sleeve Crochet Knit Shirt. I would have kept the cardigan if the sleeves had been a tad longer.

What would you have kept?

Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? If you do happen to give it a try, please use my referral link. I would get a $25.00 credit, and you would get to be my new BFF!

How was your weekend? What was something exciting that you did?

I have not tried Stitch Fix, but I have read many people who have used it and loved it! It sounds so fun! I also really loved that cardigan; too bad it wasn’t long enough in the arms. :( I love cardigans because you can do so much with them! I also liked the shirt you said you kept, and the wool jacket. But I don’t blame you for giving the jacket back if it was itchy; I would have done the same thing.

Wow, I have to say I’m disappointed to. None of those sweaters even look that warm! I would have sent the scarf back in a heartbeat as well – hideous!

I agree about the heart sweater too. I think I’ve seen the same thing at Kohl’s for cheaper. I’ve always been tempted to get stitch fix, but the prices seem a little high for me. I really like the coat, but if it was itchy, then I wouldn’t have been able to keep it either.

Yeah, the prices as a whole are high (and I even selected to be sent the low price items). That’s why I only let myself keep the things I really love and think are good quality. But yeah, I was pretty disappointed that I wasn’t sent warmer items since I specifically asked for them.

Just searching other people’s box reviews and I have to tell you that we had the same stylist. My note was almost identical to yours! However, she did better than my first one did! Sorry, you didn’t have much luck this time.

Oh really? Too funny! She did so great the first time, so I know it would be hard to top. I just wasn’t expecting my second box to be quite so off. Oh well, Hopefully third time will be a charm! haha

First of all, hope you’re feeling better!!! Secondly, I LOVE your Christmas tree skirt, that’s such a fun cut!

Okay, so I’m definitely not an orange person either, even though I love a nice infinity scarf. Everything fit you really nicely, however I think you probably made the right choice in not buying your items. Nothing really stuck out to me as being very different and a must-have. Cardigans are always cute. That heart sweater was definitely a bit Taylor Swifty. I don’t understand this fashion where you put a random picture on the front of a sweater like a big cat or panda or an owl. Just not for me. Hope your next box is more up your alley, and have a blast in NYC!!!

Thanks, Leslee! I feel SO much better now. It’s funny. I think my mom actually made that Christmas tree skirt. It’s been around our family Christmas trees for as long as I remember.

I’m definitely keep my fingers crossed for the third box!

Oh no! I’m sorry you didn’t have a great experience with Stitch Fix. I feel like they are hit or miss when I read other blogs. I’m thankful that they have been more of a hit (so far) with my boxes.
