Friday Faves 17

Happy Friday! The weekend could not come soon enough for me! How about you? I feel like it’s been a long week, so I’m ready to relax and do a whole lot of nothing besides catching up on housework.

I’ve been inspired by Jan from Sprouts n Squats to do a little version of my own “Friday Favorites.” I probably won’t do this every Friday, but it’s fun to share some things that I am really enjoying lately. I always love reading what Jan and other people who do similar blogs post. It’s a great way to discover new things.

Favorite Book

The Fault in Our Stars

I just finished reading this book last night and it wrecked me in the best way possible. Have any of you read it? If you haven’t, it’s a must read. The Fault in Our Stars tells the story of Hazel who is a 16 year old cancer patient who meets the clever and charming Augustus Waters in a cancer support group. What follows is one of the best coming of age stories that I have read in a long time. Maybe to help show you a bit more about the book, you should check out my next favorite…

Favorite Movie Trailer

I wish I could tell you how many times I’ve watched this trailer. Actually, I don’t because you’d probably seriously judge me. After reading the book, I can honestly say that I think this movie was perfectly cast and the trailer seems really spot on. Is it summer yet??

Favorite Fashion Find

Sophia Webster Mika polka dot shoes

I need these Sophia Webster shoes. Anyone wanna donate a few hundred dollars to my ‘expensive tastes’ fund?

Favorite Workout

I’m a big fan of Fitness Blender workouts. They have every workout that you can possible want. It’s free and you can do them anywhere. They are great for when you travel and are stuck in a hotel – no equipment required.

I did this 5x5x5 Leg Pulse workout this week and loved it.

Favorite FunnyThe Hunger Games selfie

Favorite Animal Picture

Oliver in window

Oliver has developed the habit of sitting in the window and watching me as I leave for work each morning. It kills me. I feel like such a bad person leaving him and Luna all day. When can being a stay at home pet mom become a thing?

What are your Friday favorites? Any new finds to share?

What do you have planned this weekend?

I am so happy it is Friday! My family is coming into town and I am hosting a big birthday party for my hubs. I cannot wait!
Also, I have been wanting to read The Fault in Our Stars for so long – I need to put it on the top of my stack. Sounds like a good one! Happy Friday.

I’m so glad Friday is finally here! :P Loving those heels! And how cute is your cat?! Haha, I’m a little cat crazy. Lots of relaxing for me this weekend too. The weather is terrible, so definitely one to spend cozy indoors :)

Aw, thanks! I am too which is why I probably take more pictures than is normal of my cats.

Sometimes, I love a weekend with horrible weather. It’s the perfect excuse to have a chill day in my pajamas!

I also wish that stay at home fur mama was an official job. And that we could claim those little boogers on our taxes. They cost an arm and a leg…but it’s worth it. :)

Love the shoes but I couldn’t afford them either.

I don’t usually watch a movie if I’ve read the book or vice versa. If a book is written well enough my imagination is much better than what could ever be put on a screen.

You are on to something, Carla!

That’s a good point about books and their movie counterpart. I guess, I love seeing the world come to life in front of me just as much as I do seeing it unfold in my imagination.

They are seriously one of my favorite things ever. They have so many different workouts that you could probably do a Fitness Blender workout everyday for a year and still not complete all of them.

Haha I understand that feeling! I hope you were able to relax some with your dogs!

    Hahhahaha the selfie….:P
And I haven’t read the book but it looks interesting! To be honest, it reaaallllyyyy reminds me of the kind of plot you’d see on a Korean drama. They’re often about a girl who’s hurting and the guy falls for her and risks himself, etc. :D Some of them are extremely funny though! Not sure if you’d ever watch one but there’s a really humorous but somewhat sad drama called YOU WHO CAME FROM THE STARS. It’s on Hulu if you wanna watch it! Ok sorry for that looooong comment about dramas! But it seems like your cup o’tea. Have a beautiful weekend, lovely <333

OMG first of all your cat is so so cute!! I would feel guilty too :)

I’m so glad I could inspire you to write one of these posts too as I always love reading other people’s favourites too.

I’ve read Fault in Our Stars too and enjoyed it. I’m hoping they do good things with the movie version of it.

I hope you enjoyed your weekend <3
