Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend!
I started off Saturday morning by doing my local Y’s Gasping Gobbler 5K. Back when I used to work front desk at the Y, a bunch of us would always run this race every year. This year I ran the race solo. It was nice to be able to focus on my run, but I missed having my friends there for support like in the past. Do you like to run races solo or with friends?
The race started at a recreation center and went through a neighborhood in a loop.
It wasn’t the most exciting 5K route, but the beautiful fall colors more than made up for it. I finished in about 28 min. and 40 seconds. I told you, I run for completion not time : )
After my run, I had to quickly shower and get ready to meet my friend, Kaitlyn, to drive to Athens for the Georgia game. We made it to Athens just in time to tailgate for a few hours before the game.
Football is kinda a big deal in the South. My dad is a die hard Georgia fan. While Georgia is definitely my favorite team to cheer for, I am far from being the super fan like my dad. I enjoy being in the atmosphere of a game more than anything. There’s nothing quite like it. If you’re a fan of any college football team, then I’m sure you know what I mean.
I just cannot handle all the leaves. It’s so beautiful! Isn’t fall the best?
We ended up having really amazing seats on the 8th row of the 10 yard line
It was Aaron Murray’s last home game. Sadly, during the first half he had a knee injury and was out the rest of the game. He may be out of the rest of the reason.
I’m so glad that even with a rough season, we were able to see the Dawgs take home a win!
Tell me, what team are you a die-hard fan of and why? As long as it’s not South Carolina, I promise not to judge you : )
What is your favorite season? I love everything about the fall. The cooler weather, boots and scarves, football, warm drinks and soups….I could go on forever.
What is something exciting you did over the weekend?
